Also abbreviated as an EKG or ECG, an electrocardiogram is a common and painless test used to quickly detect heart problems and monitor the heart’s health. Based on what an EKG shows, a healthcare provider may be able to treat a potential life threatening arrythmia and limit dame to the patient and/or heart muscle. SIEMT EKG courses can be tailored for both simply performing EKGs as well as reading and interpreting the rhythms.
